This Independence Day, India Post introduced an unusual stamp and a miniature sheet. With the theme of tourism, this special issue depicts the India’s diverse traditions.

Every Region of India has something unique to offer. Every corner of India exhibits India’s exotic, extravagant and elegant pieces of her past and traditions. Hence, to convey the message of unity in diversity, India post came up with a new stamp and a miniature sheet featuring the diverse destinations in India.

The design of the stamp and miniature sheet is based on three best entries submitted in the competition for designing the commemorative postal stamp as well as miniature sheet.

The stamp comes with the denomination of comes with the denomination of Rs. 25.00. It features a beautiful collage of different tourist destinations India. From the mountains of Himalaya to the placid rivers of southern India and from the hot desert of Rajasthan and Dense forests of Bengal this little stamp displays the entire India along with the magnificent monuments stand serenely at different regions.

This stamp truly livens up the expression “Unity in Diversity”!
